These Outlook 2007 COM Addin projects and project templates were developed for Professional Outlook 2007 Programming and are available for download from this Web site by courtesy of Wrox Press. The projects and templates are also available for download at www.wrox.com.

Outlook 2007 Projects

The managed code Visual Studio 2005 and VSTO 2005 SE projects should be placed in the \Visual Studio 2005\Projects\ folder.
 

The VB 6 projects should be placed in the file system and opened using Visual Studio 6. The VB 6 projects contain separate projects for the addin DLL and the property page and custom task pane ActiveX controls.

To use these projects select the one you want to use in the Open Project dialog and when the project opens change the project name, AssemblyInfo module, project GUID and ProgID, and all strings in the project to the ones for your add-in.

Outlook 2007 Project Templates

These project templates should be placed in the \Visual Studio 2005\Templates\Project Templates\ folder, or you can separate the templates by programming language and place them in the \Visual Studio 2005\Templates\Project Templates\Visual Basic\ folder and the \Visual Studio 2005\Templates\Project Templates\Visual C#\ folder.

Visual Studio will recognize the templates and add them to the New Project dialog under the My Templates area.

To use these templates select the one you want to use in the New Project dialog and when the project opens change the project name, AssemblyInfo module, project GUID and ProgID, and all strings in the project to the ones for your add-in.
